More Nonesense In The Name Of Islam?

June 22, 2008 · Posted in Ramblings · Comment

Or is this a public safety issue being branded as such my the media?

According to the Pakistani authorities, kite flying has the following hazards associated with it:

• Banned metal string from stray kites was fatally cutting the throats of motorcyclists and bicyclists.
• Children were being injured or killed chasing fallen kites.
• People retrieving fallen kites from cables with metal wires were being electrocuted and causing millions of dollars of damage to the country’s power authority.

Then there’s the fact that, according to the story, certain unnamed “Islamists” have condemned kite flying as unislamic against the dictates of Islam.

Now I have flown a kite several times in my life, and I, for some reason, don’t feel myself tumbling headlong into hell.

On the flipside, during childhood on Chicago’s South Side, I cannot remember one time that a kid was decapitated by a kite string.  Not even once.

And I can’t seem to remember any workers getting electrocuted while climbing power lines to get the kite strings down.

As a matter of fact I can’t remember ANYBODY climbing ANYTHING to get kite strings down, except for kids climbing to occasional tree.

Come to think of it, why in the world would ANYONE climb a power line to get a kite string at all???

I guess things really are different in Pakistan.

I’ll stay home with my kite.  Thanks.

Identified Flying Objects

June 18, 2008 · Posted in Technology · Comment

A company has developed ships called Dynalifters that can move freight through the air using a fraction of the fuel that trucks use on the road. In fact according to a company co-owner, once aloft it only uses a 35HP engine!

They are pitching this as a solution for Africa, South America, and other parts of developing world.

The biggest draw, and the reason why it will probably get squashed by “tha man”? These countries won’t have to take out billion dollar loans from Uncle Sam (not my uncle…) to build roads.

Of course the excuse used, if they bother to make an excuse, will be the “danger” of terrorists using the ships to crash into the Twin Towers. Oops…. Too late….

Of course all this is inshallah, on the D.L., hush-hush, blah blah.

Bush Family Ties

June 13, 2008 · Posted in Abstract · 1 Comment

It’s interesting finding out who’s related to whom.  According to one paper that I found, here’s the lineage report on old G.W.

Most have no idea that he is so well connected.

George W. Bush (born 1946) US President, Governor, Owner of Oil Company and Co-Owner of Texas Rangers Baseball team.  Bush himself is directly related to 16 former U.S. presidents including George Washington, Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, James Garfield, Grover Cleveland, Teddy Roosevelt, William H. Taft, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Richard Nixon, and Gerald Ford.  He is closely related to the king of Albania and has kinship with every member of the British royal family and the House of Windsor.  He is related to 20 British Dukes, the 13
th
cousin of Britain’s Queen Mother, and of her daughter Queen Elizabeth.  He is 13
th
cousin once removed from Prince Charles and has direct descent from King Henry III, Charles II, and Edward I of England.  Through the House of Windsor and King Henry III, the Bush’s and Bill Clinton are genetically related.  Through Charlemagne he is related to Al Gore and John Kerry, his “Democratic opposition” in 2000 and 2004.

Can You Smell The Fear?

Read THIS

The Vatican is warning that the West is becoming “obsessed with Islam”.  They are now traveling around making the case that all religions are equal and people should stop putting Islam on a pedestal, so to speak.

Funny how they didn’t complain when their religion was on top……

We’re Winning. So why can’t we see it?

June 5, 2008 · Posted in Islam, Referred Articles · Comment

Here is another article (LINK) that illustrates the fact that we (Muslims in the West) are actually winning, and the enemy can see it.  So why do so many Muslims feel like we are losing….?
