Haiti in context

January 13, 2010 · Posted in Current Events · Comment

First off my prayers go out on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Haiti.

Haiti has suffered a catastrophe so terrible that some analysts are skeptical as to whether it will remain a sovereign nation at all.

But let’s look at it in context. Haiti has not been a sovereign state in a long long time. France dominated them directly. The USA dominates them indirectly now.

Remember just a few years ago when US CIA agents and military personnel went in under cover of darkness and removed the democratically elected president “for his own protection”?

Haiti has been a broken nation for a long time, and now this earthquake
has thrust it to the center of the world stage.

The question for the Haitian people is, “What will you do with the limelight now that you have it?”

Will you use the opportunity to shed light on the plight of your nation just as relates to the earthquake, or will you use this as an opportunity to overthrow the corrupt minions of America that currently rule there and finally take back your nation once and for all?

Choose quickly.

The Scanner Cometh

January 7, 2010 · Posted in Current Events, Law Enforcement, Videos · Comment

I’m sure you’ve heard the news about the airport body scanners that are being rolled out against public outcry because of “security concerns” following the recent “attempted bombing”.

You’ve probably seen the sanitized photos shown on television and in papers. What you almost certainly have not seen us exactly what the scanner really shows. I want each of you to watch this video and pay very close attention, then consider whether or not you really want to be scanned.

INTERPOL in America

January 4, 2010 · Posted in Law Enforcement, Politics · Comment

Jason Bourne, Ethan Hunt, James Bond.

What do they all have in common?

Well of course they are all fictional spies who fight “evil” across the globe. But more importantly they all, at some point, interact with a an organization called INTERPOL (International Police). This group, which has been a mainstay of spy movies dating all the way back to the fifties (and maybe before) is actually quite real.

INTERPOL operates in hundreds of countries and in many of them their authority supersedes those of local law enforcement.

And now they are coming to America, with a vengeance.

Executive Order 12425 gives INTERPOL full diplomatic immunity, a privilege not even enjoyed by the police at the city, state, or even federal levels here. And, by the way: No Freedom of Information Act applies to them (documents can be kept secret by them – forever).

Ronald Reagan had officially recognized INTERPOL, but with substantial safeguards. Some of those safeguards, it appears, have now been removed.

Let’s see how this develops.

If it develops.
