Lets look at slavery today. It exists in Africa by blacks of other races. When the “whites” went to Africa to obtain slaves, often they were purchased from other tribes that already owned them. Slavery dates back thousands of years or do we just forget the thousands of years the Jews were enslaved by the kings and Queens of Egypt?

I do not condone or approve of slavery in any form, but enough is enough!! Most Africans HATE their counterparts in the US.

It is simply because the states do not have a printing press and the Federal government does.

The states are going to have to reassert their rights (whose fault is it that they have allowed the Federal govt to bloat on powers it never had in the first place?) in order to disconnect from the morons in Washington who are debasing the currency before our eyes.

Otherwise, the ENTIRE ship goes down. Poof.

If you understand how the money system works and what is happening in this country, it is easier to understand our fall from grace.

a) A few points – the difference between me and a scholar is the amount of knowledge, so I dont know all the ayats of the Quran and a lot of hadith, many scholars due so they can probably have more of a wholistic interpretation than I can. Now that being said if all the evidences are in front of me I feel like I can make a measured decision, and I am responsible for that decision. Personally I go through the rulings of different scholars and choose what makes the most sense to me, sometimes it’s the easiest and sometimes the hardest…I know many people think that is wrong to do, but I dont see why…

It’s also interesting to note that Khadija supported him financially for the time that they were together. She was the breadwinner, so to speak.
Prophet Muhammad also washed clothes, cleaned the house, and many other things that most modern Muslim men consider feminine pursuits.
unfortunately the behaviour of those who follow great leaders is that the followers usually don’t record the negatives. For example, I’m sure that Khadija and The Prophet Muhammad had arguments, from time to time. I don’t know of any wife who’s husband routinely leaves her to go chill in a cave for 30 days at a time who won’t get angry at some point….

So I think abuse starts with the man wanting to control everything. It doesn’t help that in the Muslim community hadith/ayats from the Quran that men want to hear are quoted. So I’ve heard from many many men that Khadija (ra) was the perfect wife, supportive, a true companion. I rarely hear about what the Prophet (saw) did for his wives, his role in the household, his humbleness, his mercy towards his wives. It seems that rarely comes to surface. Maybe my ears are just shutting out the positive and only hearing the negative. But I do think this case is a testimony to where the Muslim community has landed, and that’s flat on it’s back.

The post dealing with how women are a gift from God is insightful. Maybe if we could overcome our human ignorance of the idea of a deity and realize that this is our only existence and all we will EVER have we could quit using this Glod idea as an excuse.

“Oversensitive”?

I prefer the term “Hyper-Vigilant”.

Is the wife of the abusive husband oversensitive if she gets nervous once her husband starts yelling and making threats? Is the tortured prisoners “oversensitive” because he gets ready to defend himself every time the toolkit is brought out?

No sir. Blacks in America are “Hyper Vigilant” because of the history suffered. If your grandfather tells you of seeing lynching with his own eyes, you take it seriously.

As a Native American it is quite likely that your own ancestors suffered in the 1700’s and 1800’s just as much as Blacks suffered during the 1900’s.

What say you about the suffering of your own. Do you have grandparents or great-grandparents that are also “oversensitive”?

screw the gold buy solar panels and grow lights being self sustainable is a good idea any time.
